The CBI investigates the murder of a young intern, working for a State Senator…

[WALTER CREW] Early-mid 60s, powerful, charming, good-humored, a recently-retired and extremely influential legislator. He is the sort of big man that women find sexy. He has an appetite for all good things in life – women, food, wine, power, and money. He is Melinda’s father. Expansive, effusive and self-confident. [SENATOR MELINDA BATSON] Mid-late 30s, attractive, smart, usually a hard charger, she is a State Senator, clearly unnerved when questioned about the recent murder of one of her young female interns. Seemingly upfront, eager to quash any rumors about the young woman having an affair with her husband, Melinda is in fact, harboring a terrible secret. Ambitious to a fault, manipulative, quick to react, she has allowed her personal life to over-shadow everything, much to the ire of her ex-politico father…GUEST STAR (9)

[ELLIOTT BATSON] Mid-late 30s, prep school handsome. He is Melinda’s husband of three years, now her chief of staff, but with political ambitions of his own. Jane is quick to discern that the marriage is a sham…GUEST STAR (9)

[ART CAVALLERI / JANITOR] 45-55, nondescript, a “janitor” at CBI headquarters. Actually, we learn later that he is a private detective, hired by Melinda to obstruct the CBI’s investigation…GUEST STAR (15)

[COUNTY CORONER STEINER] Male, 40s-50s, professional and arrogant, he is on the scene when a State Senator’s intern’s body is discovered and he is quick to dismiss the death as a suicide, contrary to the deductions of Jane and his team. Steiner orders everyone to put away their cell phones, lest pictures be taken of the dead girl and sold to online tabloids. Seems, he’s the only guilty party… GUEST STAR / POSSIBLY RECURRING (2)

[HARLAN MCADOO] 25-25, Caucasian, a not-too-bright sleazebag who thinks he is a ladies man not realizing that he’s just white trash. He was recently arrested on carjacking charges. All fingers point to him as his step-sister’s killer but Jane decides that he’s not smart enough to plan such a thought-out crime…GUEST STAR (25)

[CHARLOTTE MCADOO] Late 50s- early 60s, Caucasian, overweight and rude. She is the murdered woman’s stepmother. Bitter, sullen, surly, and a terrible liar, she’s not thrilled to be speaking with the investigators. We later discover she’s hiding her fugitive son…ONE DAY GUEST STAR (22)
